The Arts Society Woodbridge is a thriving group of around 400 members. We meet for lectures at The Riverside, Woodbridge, generally on the third Monday of each month, except July and August. Our AGM is held before the lecture, usually in October.
LECTURES 10.45 am - 12.00 approx.
Every year we arrange a programme of ten lectures, given by professionals who are experts in their field. All our lecturers are experienced presenters, selected for their knowledge, presentation skills and entertainment value. They speak and present slides on a wide variety of topics such as architecture, artists and designers, ceramics, gardens, glass, furniture, jewellery, music, painting - and more, covering everything from ancient history to modern times.
Attendees may arrive from 10am and purchase refreshments from Marlowes's at the Riverside, or nearby at Whistlestop Café or elsewhere. Coffee may be brought into the theatre before the start of the lecture. Seats must be taken by 10.45am. Non-members are welcome to attend*, as the guests of members, if space permits, for a suggested donation of £5. A member may bring a guest on two occasions during the lecture programme year.
*Places must be booked in advance with the membership secretary.

SPECIAL INTEREST DAYS
Twice a year, we organise Special Interest Days which enable around 60 members of the society to study a topic in greater depth than is possible with the monthly 1 hour lecture. On these days coffee and lunch are provided, with time to chat with other members in a convivial atmosphere.
The day is split into 3 sessions each lasting about an hour. There is ample opportunity to ask questions and these study days are normally great fun as well as being informative. Places on these days are booked and paid for in advance.
